The Racism Card AKA Black Card

South Africa is known about its history of apartheid.

1948

The Afrikaner National party won a general election and began to apply its policy of apartheid. Strategists in the National Party invented apartheid as a means to cement their control over the economic and social system. Initially, aim of the apartheid was to maintain white domination while extending racial separation. Racial discrimination was institutionalized with the enactment of apartheid laws in 1948. Apartheid made laws forced the different racial groups to live separately and develop separately, and grossly unequally too. It tried to stop all inter-marriage and social integration between racial groups. During apartheid, to have a friendship with someone of a different race generally brought suspicion upon you, or worse. More than this, apartheid was a social system which severely disadvantaged the majority of the population, simply because they did not share the skin color of the rulers. Many were kept just above destitution because they were 'non-white'.

1950

Population Registration Act

This Act demanded that people be registered according to their racial group. This meant that the Department of Home affairs would have a record of people according to whether they were white, colored, black, Indian or Asian. People would then be treated differently according to their population group, and so this law formed the basis of apartheid.

Group Areas Act

This was the act that started physical separation between races, especially in urban areas. The act also called for the removal of some groups of people into areas set aside for their racial group.

1959

Promotion of Bantu Self-Government Act

This Act said that different racial groups had to live in different areas. Only a small percentage of South Africa was left for black people to form their 'homelands'.This Act also got rid of 'black spots' inside white areas, by moving all black people out of the city. Well known removals were those in District 6, Sophiatown and Lady Selborne. These black people were then placed in townships outside of the town.

1960

The black township of Sharpesville, the police opened fire on a group of unarmed blacks associated with the Pan-African Congress (PAC), an offshoot of the ANC. The group had arrived at the police station without passes, inviting arrest as an act of resistance. 67 blacks were killed and more than 180 wounded. Sharpesville convinced many anti-apartheid leaders that they could not achieve their objectives by peaceful means, and both the PAC and ANC established military wings, neither of which ever posed a serious military threat to the state.

1961

Most resistance leaders had been captured and sentenced to long prison terms or executed. Nelson Mandela a founder of Umkhonto we Sizwe (“Spear of the Nation”), the military wing of the ANC, was incarcerated from 1963 to 1990; his imprisonment would draw international attention and help garner support for the anti-apartheid cause. On June 10, 1980, his followers smuggled a letter from Mandela in prison, and made it public: “UNITE! MOBILISE! FIGHT ON! BETWEEN THE ANVIL OF UNITED MASS ACTION AND THE HAMMER OF THE ARMED STRUGGLE WE SHALL CRUSH APARTHEID!”.

1976

Thousands of black children in Soweto, a black township outside Johannesburg, demonstrated against the Afrikaans language requirement for black African students, the police opened fire with tear gas and bullets. The protests and government crackdowns that followed, combined with a national economic recession, drew more international attention to South Africa and shattered all illusions that apartheid had brought peace or prosperity to the nation. The United Nations General Assembly had denounced apartheid in 1973, and in 1976 the UN Security Council voted to impose a mandatory embargo on the sale of arms to South Africa.

1994

South Africa’s first democratic general election On 27 April, Nelson Mandela and millions of Black Africans vote for the first time in their lives. Nelson Mandela is elected President of the Republic of South Africa F.W. de Klerk becomes his deputy. The South Africa Truth and Reconciliation Commission is set up. It bears witness to, records, and in some cases grants amnesty to the perpetrators of crimes relating to human rights violations, as well as offering reparation and rehabilitation to the victims. The Nelson Mandela Children's Fund is set up Nelson Mandela donated one third of his presidential salary to the formation of the charity during his term in office.

1997

South Africa’s new democratic Constitution comes into effect. Liberation and freedom for black people is in place. in 1999 Thabo Mbeki becomes the second black president of South Africa. Mbeki’s administration focused on the continuing transition from an apartheid state. He also led efforts to increase foreign investment in Africa and to encourage debt relief for African countries. Mbeki secured a second term as president of the ANC in 2002.

Present

Black people are still poor. Poor land distribution. Racism still exist. Black people are becoming white. Black people are playing the black card to every white person who comes their way. πŸ˜₯

What is a black card?

A black card is the best weapon black people use against white people. This card can take big companies down in minutes. Before 1994 our forefather and parents were segregated from whites, the opportunity of freedom was execution. They became refugees and immigrants reason being that all they wanted was a better life were you won't be punished for not carrying a notebook that authenticates your identification aka "Doom-Pass" everywhere you go. Being black before 1994 was a curse, this curse led to a war between so called holy (white) and darkness(black). The same war that we fight today to turn evil to holy.

The black nation was sunk under red water, those who fought died painful death. The fight was not about supremacy but about equality. From being called Dad at home and Seun at work by Baas's seun was total crap that our parents had to fight against. Those who survived did save South Africa, thank God for their power and resilience.

Born after 1994 is a blessing black or white we are all the same. In parliament black leaders dominate, equity acts are being amended to favor all races. I truly believe our forefather are proud of us, 80% of black people are business owners, exclusive property owners, investors, successful innovators, farmers, leaders and humanitarians. We are the free generation that is being led by black Presidents. We are able to challenge racists and justice is being served fairly. I know many of you will say I am being too fictional about freedom.

The destination is not yet being reached the fight keeps on going, but on fair bases. Lets be honest the wheel has kind of turned. We became the spoiled brats of freedom from Kaffir to Lekgowa, its us who are racist now. We won't hire any white person because they caused so much pain to our grandparents, anger dominates within our hearts. Looks like we fought for vengeance instead of liberty.

Well the black card nehπŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€......

This is checkmate for any black person to get whatever they want. i.e. you get rejected in a well profound university in the country because your APS score is low and you really want to go to this university for whatever reason you may have yet you know that you performed very badly. The best way to get accepted to this university is to throw in your black card, all you need to do is simple this days you go to Twitter or Facebook and write a post "I was reject because of my skin color #blacklivesmatter #Blackchilddeservesbetterlife". 3 minutes after the post the university Dean will send an email stating that they have made a mistake they hereby congratulate you on your acceptance to the university and they will like to apologize for the confusion. See this is simple. Never minding that university Chancellor is black the public will have their own opinion because this is a very sensitive topic that evokes many emotions.

#blacktwitter 😳

I don't know why but we have so much power and we are out of control. Greed is the inventor of injustice as well as the current enforcer. The black card is so useless sometimes because of our voracity and egotism. We are a different generation, there is no need to be selfish anymore if someone speaks Afrikaans it is okay you also have a right to speak your XiVenda in return. We owe no one favors, freedom is here freedom is within us. You are not forced to be a coconut and give your kids names like Ashanti so that white people can pronounce it better that so 1980's. Start by giving your child an African name teach them about the history of apartheid tell them that the war has been won. Teach them how to tackle racists out here, don't allow them to pull out the racism card without proof. Because the day they witness racism it will be the end of them.

Allow them to be the Africans that our grandparents desired to be. Strong wealthy blacks who know how to protect their resources and strengthen their nation by the significant way to say no. Let others bow to them because they have power as God gave them the day he created the earth, and entitled them rightful owners to find a way of how to feed them selves with the rich resources he gave them.

I'm not saying racism does not exist it does. But we tend to play our cards wrong just because we want things to be done our way and to have someone to blame for our laziness. Black child wake up this world is full of opportunities investors are dying to have you and stop this foolishness of saying they did not employ me because I was black. What if all this companies are racist what are you going to do next. Why don't you open your own black-owned company and show them that you can also do this.

Let claim our thrones and stop obeying to oppressors not all white people are racists. They try so hard to fit in let give them the chance to. All those rogues died long time ago, I believe in the new diverse South Africa the fight between black, white, colored, Indian and Asian is long time over. Yes there is white privilege but there is also black rich privilege that s a topic for a different day.

Play your black card carefully before it backfires you.

Have a reason of playing the black card before things tend to take a different turn to backfire us again. Let play fair with facts not emotions.
